How the brain copes with change
How your brain handles change
From a psychological point of view, what buttons can/must be pushed to help bring about change? Here is an occupational psychologist, cand. Psych, Helen Eriksen's three commandments:
- State basic assumptions that work against the change.
- Remember the well-being of your employees - despite the crisis, it is still an important area to invest in. It motivates them and increases their performance.
- Use your whole brain and do something you don't normally do. After 8 repetitions, it triggers reward hormones – which make for happy and motivated employees.
